Stay aware and protect yourself
Utilities Disputes Ltd (UDL) is aware of a potential scam, where customers are asked to provide money, login details or passwords in return for a discount on their internet or energy bill.
Please note that under no circumstances will we ever contact you to ask you for money, your login details or password.
If you receive a suspicious call or contact from anyone describing themselves as from UDL, you should:
- end the contact and call us on 0800 22 33 40 so we can confirm whether the call is legitimate;
- report the incident to CERTNZ via https://www.cert.govt.nz/individuals/report-an-issue/
- call CERTNZ to discuss your concerns on 0800 CERT NZ (0800 2378 69).
